Come With Me is an Interactive drama installation based on the Greek myth “Narcissus”. Which is aiming in exploring the possibility of the use of schlieren imaging (a scientific method that can visualize density variations in air) in a narrative space.

The installation attempts to construct the interactive relationships between the audiences and the story with natural images, and to explore a new way to form a drama experience.




The installation is made up with a box of consecration and three character symbols that represent three person related to Narcissus when he was alive.

The audiences can interact with the installation by consecrate the character symbol to the box and wake up the soul of Narcissus. On the projection they can see the real-time image of the air collected by a camera, which will be activated by the consecration and from a burning/breathing effect of the symbol.

By playing with the image of the air and hearing the hidden message from Narcissus, the audiences are invited to immerse in to a special ceremony and to feel the story.




Traditional theaters have undergone many changes and reforms under the multimedia age. New forms can be created by separating, recombining and reinforcing the elements of a theater - sound, light, space, motion, persons, etc.

This is an experiment of a stage with light and shadows, use some special optical method to create certain theatric atmosphere.
